Prema Pavuralu was released in Andhra Pradesh on July 6, 1990. The movie had a limited release because of dubbed version. Nizam ,The movie created sensation in the Andhra Pradesh. 

Prema Pavuralu has almost collections of the biggest blockbuster of the year Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari . Jagadeka Verrudu Athiloka Sundari has collected share of 8.5 crores whereas Prema Pavuralu has collected 8 crores share which is highest collections so far for a dubbed movie. Prem Pavuralu has become the only Hindi film to do such a mind blowing business at box-office. Prema Pavuralu dubbed version of Maine Pyar Kiya ran over 175 days at Vishakapatnam and over 100 days as many as six centers in Andhra Pradesh.
